Operation: School Appeal...... Failure

I received the news on SJI Appeal Result Day that I did not make it into the school. But it didn't matter .. no big deal.. I'm happy with any future school. I saw some students with smiles on my face who had appealed successfully. I'm not sure what my mother appealed me for as I didn't have any CCA achievements during in primary school.

There are more bigger things in life.

All Boredom Gone

My parents decided to give me an early Christmas present this year. OK its not much a present its more a "I'll buy you and you shut your mouth up" type of present. I have been pestering my parents for this for about a week and they think I'm responsible enough for this present.

And the present is the most best thing in the world (in my opinion), a present that is so stupid that won't help you in your daily life, a present so worth buying you children this festive season, a present so expensive that your parents may not allow you to buy... ( I'm just building up the suspense)

Its an..an XBOX 360 with HAlo3, Medal Of Honor: Airborne and FIFA 08. Goodbye boredom hello freedom. There is this rule that i could only play an hour a day on Fridays and weekends. What am I 10 years old. Well its better than nothing......

Result And Posting Day

My Secondary School Result Day and Posting Day sandwiched Hari Raya so I felt that luck was by my side. When I got the results online, I was totally surprised i had made into my 1st choice school. I had just touch the cut-off mark and there was a place for me in the school. The school was like any other school but i somehow found more outstanding but i don't know what.

There was a surprise later on that faithful day where my mother said she and my brother had secretly put my name on the appeal list for my brother's school Saint Joseph Institution. It was like so out of the blue but at the same time glad that my friend had also appealed for the same school but he had a better chance than me as he was from an affiliated school.

My father said that it is not the school that matters but it is how do you fair in the school matters.

Selamat Hari Raya

It was a rainy Hari Raya with up and downs. For example, when my father, uncle, bro and I just finished our Hari Raya prayers at the mosque, it started to rain cats and dogs with strong winds and most other prayers were stranded at the mosque with no umbrella. My father and my uncle dashed to the car and fetched us from the heavy downpour. My uncle then drove us home to prepare for the Hari Raya Buffet. EVERYONE WAS SOAKED TO THE SKIN.

But we had more ups than downs that they. My aunt and her family visited us to enjoy the buffet and share the experience in Australia with my grandmother and my grandaunt. My cousins, Nadiah, Safiah and Amirah had something to say:

Visit To Malaysia During the Weekends

My family and I visited Malaysia during the weekends like most of the time. We went there as we needed to tend to our terrace house in Taman Permata, Johor. My father like always when there to take care of his garden which includes a red palm tree and a starfruit tree. My parents spend the first few hours there cleaning the house and collecting dead cockroaches (there was only one and it was a record after not visiting the hose for two months). My mother would be cranky when things aren't clean. we spent a day and a night in the warm weather of Malaysia. I felt even bored there cause there is no computer, games and the television isn't working well.

8th Best In Religious School

It was unbelievable. I got 8th best out of about a 100 pupils in my Muslim Religious Class Examination. I totally didn't expected it because I was revising and preparing for the exam on the eleventh minute. Most of my brainy friends scored lesser then me. Every thing's all Topsy turvy now. My parents were as usual still not proud of my achievement which dumbstruck me. Most parents are like that this days so it didn't matter much to me at all.

Hari Raya Is Approaching

YEAH!! Hari Raya Haji is around the corner. Its on the 20th of December, 5 days before Christmas. For those viewers who don't know what is the occasion is, it is where Muslims from around the world do the Hajj in Mecca. Most Muslims also slaughter and sacrifice livestock to aid them in the afterlife.

Usually I would go to my Grandma's House to celebrate Hari Raya, but this time its different. This time my parents are organising a buffet at my house. More still, my aunt and her family who are currently living in Australia, are visiting my family to celebrate the occasion.

Bored After PSLE Examination

YAWN..... I'm so bored staying at home and after my annul holiday. I have completed all my online and computer games. I'm starting to miss supplementary classes and books. Could you imagine that? I HATE BOOKS... I can't wait for my secondary school life to begin. I can start everything again from scratch; making new friends and giving a new impression. I still keep in touch with my Primary 6 peers and hope we can go to the same school together.

Visit To Madame Thussad's Wax Museum

In our stay in London, we visited Madame Thussad's Wax Museum where we saw many wax celebrities and stars including Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter), David And Victoria Beckham and more. At first I found the statues 'scary and weird' but I got use to it. I now could brag to my friends that I saw the famous celebrities and stars. :)

50th Saint Joseph Military Band Anniversary

Tonight I went to Saint Joseph's Institute (my brother's school) to witness SJI's 50th Military Band Anniversary. My brother was a part of the band and he marched down the track field. The guest of honour was Adrian ,the first drum major of Singapore and Saint Joseph. He inspected the bandsmen and marched down the track with the current drums major of SJI. The night ended with the flag lowering ceremony.

Searching For A Suitable Secondary School

As most of the viewers know, I have finished my Primary School Leaving Examinations(PSLE) and my parents are cracking their heads to find a suitable secondary school where i will study for the next 4 years. Earlier today, my parents and I were touring around Singapore to fill in our 6 choices of secondary schools. It was so boring and a waste of my time and energy. I think this is a the worst part of a Primary 6 life. Even though we have found our 6 choices, my parents are still deciding if we had made the right choice. It is like an ever-lasting lecture! Blah blah this blah blah that. We still have until next Wednesday to confirm our choices but i think i wont make it to Wednesday coz of this blabbering!

Holiday To Britian and Paris

I had a fun time during my holidays to Britain and Paris. My Mum loved the weather there since she had always been complaining about Singapore's weather. We went to Big Ben, The Tower Bridge, The Emirates Stadium, Buckingham Palace, Anefield Stadium and many more London's Landmarks. We stayed in a hotel which provides halal Asian food. My parents always complained that everything was expensive as our first dinner at the hotel was 30 pounds ( S$150). We then moved on to Scotland with our tour bus. We visited the ancient Edinburgh Castle and saw The Crowned Jewels of Scotland which was the oldest in Europe. Unfortunately, we had no time to go to Loch Ness in catch a glimpse of 'Nessie' (The Loch Ness Monster). We took a eurostar train trip to Paris and took a snapshot of The Eiffel Tower and The Arch. It was a nice place but there were so many flocks of pigeons and their 'droppings' on The Eiffel Tower. Overall, I would recommend Britian and Paris a good choice of visit.♣♠♠
